pictures of Dickens Village, a little holiday tradition in Ricalton Square in the heart of Maplewood Village
Hi there! We moved from BK to Maplewood 2.5 years ago and are so happy with our decision, which was greatly influenced by this group. You'll love it.
My son is in Kindergarten at Clinton School and we adore it! The PTA is incredibly involved. The principal, who is retiring in January, has been phenomenal and is passing the torch to the assistant principal who is also excellent. I've heard only good things about every teacher there, and the media specialist, Ms. Latimer, just won the NJASL's 2015 Most Progressive School Library Media Program. She is really cool and gets the kids into all kinds of activities, including technology and coding - definitely not the type of librarian I grew up with! I've also met some really awesome parents there...clearly, I love this school!
...Everyone I know in this area absolutely loves their school, regardless of which one it is. You really can't go wrong.
Here is a map of the SOMA Elementary school zones you can check out: http://www.greatschools.org/school-district-boundaries-map/?lat=40.7299793&lon=-74.27199200000001&level=e&q=maplewood,%20nj
Good luck!
Aimee
PS: Aimee and her family were clients of mine and it gives me such joy to see how happy they are Living in Maplewood.
