It's hard to believe that in the past year, mortgage rates have dropped almost a full point, especially when experts had originally predicted they would go up a point, not down as they did.
What does a 1% difference in rate mean to you? If you are were to buy a $500,000 home in Maplewood with about $15,000 in taxes, you would pay about $3,893 per month for Principle, Interest, Taxes and Insurance +PMI if you have a mortgage at 4.66%.
