With the arrival of spring, it’s the perfect opportunity to step outside and savor the fresh air. This time of year is for embracing the outdoors, and NJ offers a plethora of festivals that showcase its diverse attractions—from food and drinks, to music and crafts.
If you’re looking for some inspiration, here’s a selection of the best outdoor festivals in the state. Don’t forget to bring your friends and family to make the most of these celebrations!
Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival

May 6
Food trucks, craft-beer vendors, and family-style fun come together for the
Augusta, NJ food truck and craft beer festival. A full lineup of live music is
on the agenda as are backyard games like wiffleball, volleyball, and
knockerball. Since lines are expected, keep the kids entertained at a Miner’s
Express train ride and a bouncy house.. If you’re brave enough, hop on the
mechanical bull and see how long you can last before flying off.

Just Jersey Food Truck and Music Festival
Chester Municipal Field, 134 Main Street, Chester
May 6
The Chester Municipal Field is the place to be in early May for the first Just Jersey food and music festival of the year. The festival includes more than 20 local food trucks, beer vendors, and a full musical lineup from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bring a blanket or chair to sit back and enjoy the festivities. Additionally, don’t forget to bring a non-perishable canned or boxed good, as this event supports both the Chester Fire Department and Food Bank. It’s going to be a lively day of tunes and fare for a fantastic cause!

Down and Derby Wine Festival 2023

Sample delicious wines from South Jersey’s leading wine producers while immersing yourself in derby-themed fashion and festivities at the third annual Down &Derby Wine Festival presented By the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Visit South Jersey. Enjoy a wonderful day with melodies from regional favorite Secret Service, food, games, and some of the best wines from our South Jersey Wineries. You’ll have a blast discovering your next favorite wine while dressed in your best derby attire.

Make your way to Springfield, NJ, for delicious food trucks, unique craft vendors, and fantastic live music. Make sure to bring your ID if you want to enjoy some beer and wine. Admission is only $5 at the door and kids under five get in for free. So grab your blankets and chairs, bring your relatives, and have a delightful day filled with excitement and mouthwatering eats. Don’t miss out on this wonderful event that benefits the Springfield Rotary, Recreation Department, and JDHS Senior Scholarships. See you there!
Central NJ Spring Beer Festival

Enjoy NJ’s best craft breweries on a white sand lakefront beach with live music, food trucks, and a special cask ale tent. Draft beers will be sourced from NJ breweries: Buttzville, Conclave, Descendants, Flounder, Glenbrook, Highrail, Jersey Cyclone, Jersey Girl, Oakflower, Opportunity, Sunken Silo, and Burnt Mills Cidery.

Asbury Park Vegan Food Festival

Calling all foodies! The Asbury Park Vegan Food Festival is back and better than ever! Celebrate two days of delicious vegan and plant-based meals from local chefs, as well as vegan products, plant-based fashion, live music, and good vibes. The festival runs from 11a.m. to 5p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and kids 13 and under get in for free. Don’t worry about the weather, because this event is rain or shine! With 83 vendors including many gluten-free options, you’re sure to find something tasty to enjoy. Come hungry and leave happy!

28th Annual Michael Arnone’s Crawfish Fest

Prepare to stay for the duration of this three-day festival, as it will be difficult to say goodbye. The event is inspired by New Orleans culture, featuring a variety of live music such as R&B, gospel, jazz, and beyond across three stages. As you enjoy the Louisiana-inspired cuisine—including crawfish, alligator sausage, and po’boys—you can seamlessly move between stages and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere. So, bring your camper and settle in for an unforgettable experience!
Barrels and Bites Festival

Mark your calendars for the second annual Barrels and Bites – Food Trucks & Wine Tasting Festival! Make your way to Hamilton, NJ, for a day filled with a full list of wineries, food trucks, craft vendors, and entertainment, this event is not one to miss. And the best part? All proceeds from the festival go to benefit the Atlantic County 4H. Please note that ticket holders must be 21 or older, and their ID will be checked at the door.
